DIVERSE SONIC RANGE, MAXIMUM DELAY POWER

The Boss DD-8 is the most comprehensive and feature-rich delay in the BOSS compact series to date. More fantastic sounds, more delay time, more control options, and more connectivity are all delivered by this fully loaded pedal. Additionally, it does all of these tasks in a typical BOSS pedal that fits effortlessly into any mono or stereo configuration. Eleven modes include delay colors ranging from straightforward to exotic, as well as a looper with limitless overdub capacity and support for external control. There is no better delay stomp than the DD-8 for maximum versatility in the smallest possible footprint.

The Boss DD-8 has a wide range of delays and fits a lot of sonic variety into a compact pedal. In addition to standard delays like shimmer and reverse, there are also clean digital delays, retro analog and tape varieties, modulation echo, and more. New types include Warm for gentler echo tones and +RV for delay and reverb blending. While the new GLT type is ideal for glitchy rhythmic effects, Warp is ideal for dynamic ambient textures.

Everything sounds bigger and better in stereo, and the Boss DD-8 satisfies with three different output modes and full stereo I/O compatibility. To retain the accurate stereo input source balance in the effect sound, the default independent mode offers connected parallel delays on the left and right channels. Additionally, there is a wide stereo mode for improved spatial depth and a panning option for ping-pong delay effects.

The comprehensive real-time delay options available on the Boss DD-8 make your song come to life. With the onboard pedal switch, you can tap in tempos and control the Warp and GLT modes for special expressive effects. More creative options become available with the addition of one or two footswitches, including on-demand tap tempo, extended looper control, and a fun Twist effect for soaring echo sounds. Alternately, an expression pedal can be utilized to simultaneously regulate all three of the following: loudness, feedback, and delay time.

A looper is an incredibly useful tool to have on your pedalboard; it’s fantastic for practicing, testing sounds at performances, and producing on-the-fly backing while playing. You don’t need a separate pedal because the Boss DD-8’s looper mode will take care of your needs. The onboard switch allows for single-source control of all looper operations. However, you can connect one or two footswitches to the looper’s stop and clear functions externally if you wish to use extended controls.

Smart functionality in the Boss DD-8’s inputs and outputs makes it possible to configure the pedal for any application by only changing how the cables are connected. Numerous mono and stereo connectors, as well as independent dry and effect outputs for wet/dry setups, are offered. Even better, the dry signal can be completely eliminated, making it ideal for delay-only blending in a parallel effects loop.
