Our instructors specialize in popular music and tailor each singing lesson to the student’s style and experience. Every week, students work on vocal exercises to develop range, breath control, ear training, pitch accuracy, enunciation, and overall vocal strength. Whether your goal is to sing like your favorite artist or discover your own unique voice, our singing lessons are designed to support your growth and confidence. We also work with TV and radio personalities looking to improve the quality and clarity of their speaking voices.

Our voice teachers primarily focus on popular music. If you’ve always wanted tobe a better rock, pop, country, jazz, gospel or R&B singer, we have the right voice teachers for you.
How qualified are your singing instructors?
Our teachers come from diverse backgrounds, including degreed musicians, session/gigging musicians, and teachers pursuing their own continuing musical education. What will I learn from singing lessons at the Stage 1 Music?
Students in our singing lessons spend time each week doing targeted vocal exercises to improve range, breath control, ear training, vibrato, tone production, enunciation, and overall vocal technique. Every student sets personal goals with their instructor—whether it’s learning to sing like their favorite artist or developing their own unique vocal style. Our singing lessons are designed to build both skill and confidence in a supportive, personalized environment.
Are there singing recitals?
Absolutely! Twice a year we have student recitals and the Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center. Unlike some other schools, we do not charge students a fee to perform.
